Machinist

We are urgently seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented Machinist to join our team in Wichita. This position is open immediately, and we’re looking for someone who can hit the ground running. If you’re experienced with metal work, blueprints, and brake press operations, we want to hear from you today.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineers to identify and resolve part fabrication issues
• Assemble parts using hand tools, ensuring proper fit and function
• Create jigs, fixtures, and simple tools to support prototype production
• Inspect first-article parts for quality and document any defects
• Evaluate and test newly built parts for functionality and fit
• Provide feedback on part assembly, build efficiency, and design clarity
• Operate a Cincinnati 175-ton Brake Press to fabricate metal components

Qualifications

• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings
• Skilled in hands-on metalwork including cutting, grinding, and fitting
• Experience using brake press machines (preferably Cincinnati 175-ton)
• Knowledge of flat pattern layout and metal bending techniques
• Strong attention to detail and quality craftsmanship
• Effective communicator with team members and engineers

• Ability to work independently and solve problems with minimal supervision
• Comfortable handling multiple tasks and adapting to project needs
• Available for day or evening shifts as needed
