Your Next Step

We’re hiring an experienced Quality Engineer to join our aerospace team in Wellington, Kansas. This position plays a critical role in ensuring that all repair and maintenance operations meet customer, regulatory, and industry certification standards, including AS9100, ISO 9000, and EASA compliance.

You’ll conduct audits, oversee vendor quality performance, and support internal departments to maintain world-class safety and compliance. If you’re detail-oriented, analytical, and passionate about quality excellence, this is your opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the aerospace industry.

What You’ll Do

  • Perform on-site audits for new and existing vendors to ensure compliance and quality performance
  • Conduct source inspections and supplier evaluations as required
  • Respond to customer supplier surveys and verify compliance with NADCAP and AS9100 standards
  • Partner with Operations, Engineering, and Purchasing teams to address vendor improvement needs
  • Develop, manage, and execute the audit schedule while training internal auditors
  • Review and release Quality Management System (QMS) procedures to ensure compliance with AS9100 standards
  • Maintain accurate audit records, corrective actions, and documentation per retention policies and regulations

What You Bring

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred, or 5+ years of experience as a Quality Engineer, Quality Analyst, or Quality Auditor
  • Certifications such as ASQ Certified Quality Auditor (CQA), AS9100 Lead Auditor, or NADCAP Certified Auditor highly preferred
  • In-depth knowledge of FAA regulations (14CFR145), ISO 9001:2008, AS9100 / AS9110, and EASA standards
  • Understanding of government and industry quality assurance codes and standards
  • Strong computer and communication skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to learn industry-related software, interpret blueprints and process sheets, and understand regulatory requirements
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and analytical skills
  • Ability to multitask, delegate effectively, and maintain accuracy under pressure
