Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Machine Operator to process and machine metal materials according to customer specifications. In this role, you will read blueprints, set up and operate equipment, perform quality inspections using precision tools, and safely handle materials.

Key Responsibilities

  • Machining & Setup: Read blueprints, work orders, and specs to determine operational sequences. Align, secure, and adjust tooling, fixtures, speeds, and feeds for optimal processing.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate a variety of metal-processing machines to create precision parts without distortion or material defects.
  • Quality Control: Measure and inspect in-process and finished products using micrometers, calipers, scales, and squares to ensure strict tolerance compliance.
  • Material Handling & Logistics: Load, position, and move materials to storage or processing areas using forklifts, side loaders, or overhead cranes.
  • Maintenance & Safety: Perform routine equipment cleanup, troubleshoot basic operational issues, complete required paperwork, and adhere to all safety protocols.

Qualifications & Physical Demands

  • Experience: 0–5 years of machining, metal processing, or industrial manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Driver’s License: Valid Driver’s License required.
  • Technical Skills: Ability to read blueprints, perform basic math (fractions/decimals), and accurately use precision measuring devices (calipers, micrometers).
  • Certifications: Ability to obtain certifications for forklifts, overhead cranes, and material handling equipment (training provided).
  • Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift up to 100 lbs occasionally and 60 lbs repetitively.
  • Ability to push/pull up to 80 lbs of force.
  • Ability to stand for long periods and work in seasonal hot/cold warehouse environments.
