Mechanic (Day Shift)

Pay: $18–$28 per hour, depending on experience and training

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and repairs on yard trucks, trailers, and production equipment.
• Handle routine maintenance such as oil changes, fluid checks, tire service, and other mechanical tasks.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues to keep equipment running smoothly.
• Support production by ensuring equipment is available and operational to meet schedules.
• Maintain a safe, organized shop environment and follow all safety protocols.
• Respond to emergency repairs as needed to minimize downtime.
• Keep accurate maintenance and repair records.

Qualifications

• Experience preferred in mechanical repair, equipment maintenance, or vehicle service — but training is available for the right candidate with strong aptitude.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical systems.
• Familiarity with preventative maintenance practices.
• Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform hands-on repair work.
• Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
