Now here’s a program that I wish was a graduation requirement when I was in high school!
Not only have these Newton High School students completed the classes of Financial Management I and II. They also recently participated in the 2016 Kansas Personal Finance Challenge which was held at WSU’s campus.
I want to personally congratulate the students and Newton High School for their focus on financial responsibility. This is legitimately one of the most important subjects I believe could be taught in high school, and frankly, I’m dumbfounded that it wasn’t a part of any high school education that I am aware of for people my age.
